The PUNCH technology makes it possible to produce a current conductor grid with increased frame strength and grid threads of a given thickness and shape by stamping the electrode grid. This significantly reduces the likelihood of operational defects such as short circuits and deformation of the electrodes. The surface of the threads of the electrode array has special roughness and structure, which makes it possible to improve the adhesion of the active mass to the surface of the electrodes and, thereby, significantly increase the efficiency of the battery. The dense assembly of electrode packages of a strictly specified thickness has a significant effect on improving electrical conductivity and increasing starting power. This technological solution increased the battery's resistance to deep discharges and, as a result, had a positive effect on increasing the battery life in difficult operating conditions with frequent discharge-charge cycles, typical for cars with a start-stop system.
